Due to unforeseen circumstances, all members of the Pima Community College (PCC) Governing Board will be attending the Board's March 8, 2023, Regular Meeting remotely. At the discretion of the Board Chair, PCC administrators and others making scheduled presentations to the Board may also be appearing remotely. Tonight's meeting will otherwise be conducted in a hybrid format as previously noticed, and members of the public may still attend in person at PCC's District Office, room C-105. During the "Public Comment-Call to the Audience" portion of tonight's meeting, public comments may still be made either remotely or in person. PCC staff will be on-site in room C-105 to assist members of the public attending in person who wish to address comments to the Board.

Financial Holds

Are you trying to register for classes, pay your bill, or request a transcript? You may find that you have a hold on your student account. We are here to help you understand why – and what you can do to remove it.

A hold may be placed on your student account for any of the following reasons:

  • Your balance from a current or previous term is overdue
  • You have multiple registration deletions for non-payment
  • Your account has been passed on to a collection agency

If a hold is placed on your account, you will be unable to register for a new term or access academic transcripts. You will need to have the hold released before you can register or receive transcripts.

  1. Log in to MyPima

Releasing Financial Holds

The answer depends on the type of hold on your student account.

  • Past due balance hold (for either the current term or a past term):  You can remove the hold by paying your account balance in full. When your account is paid in full, the hold should be removed from your account within 1 business day. Pay off your account in person at a PCC Campus or, you can pay online through MyPima's MyAccountManager.
  • Multiple registration deletions for non-payment: Visit a campus Student Services Center to meet with an academic advisor.
  • Collection agency hold: If your debt has been handed over to a collection agency, you will need to contact the collection agency to resolve the hold. Check the View Holds page (instructions above) to find the phone number of the collection agency.
  • Contact Student Accounts Non Pay Delete Hold: To remove this type of hold, please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Non-Financial Holds

A hold may also be placed on your account non-financial reasons. View the hold to determine the correct department to contact.  If you need help, contact a Student Service Center.
