Chancellor Search

Pima Community College (PCC) is committed to a transparent and inclusive search for our next Chancellor.

The Governing Board for PCC is seeking a dynamic, effective, and forward-thinking leader to serve as the next Chancellor. PCC will welcome its next Chancellor at a pivotal time in its history as the College seeks to continue to build on its excellent reputation, build pathways for increased student enrollment, strengthen community partnerships, and grow.

The Search Committee invites letters of interest and nominations to be submitted directly to the search firm, Anthem Executive. Correspondence should include a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest describing relevant experience and interest in the position. While applications and nominations will be accepted until a Chancellor is selected, interested parties are strongly encouraged to submit their materials as soon as possible to assure consideration. Expressing interest is the first step in receiving consideration and does not make one an applicant for the position.

Key activities in the Chancellor search:

  • June 14, 2023 Regular Meeting: Approved a separation plan for Chancellor Lambert, as well as an outline for the selection of an Interim Chancellor, and a plan for selecting a long-term Chancellor.
  • June 23, 2023 Special Meeting: Selected the Provost to serve as Acting Chancellor effective July 1 and voted to retain the services of an executive search firm specializing in Interim leadership to identify suitable candidates to serve as the Interim Chancellor
  • July 31, 2023 Special Meeting: Voted to appoint the Provost as Interim Chancellor and begin a search for a long-term Chancellor.
  • September 18, 2023 Study Session: Governing Board voted to create an Advisory Committee for the Chancellor Search (i.e. Search Committee) with recommended groups to have employee and community representatives from.
  • January 10, 2024 Regular Meeting: Governing Board voted to execute an agreement with Anthem Executive to be the search firm for the College’s Chancellor Search.
  • February 6 & 7, 2024: Anthem Executive visited Pima Community College and met with 150+ plus faculty, staff, administrators, students, and community members to gather information about what the College and the community is looking for in the next Chancellor. Anthem also met with the Search Committee.
  • February 15, 2024 Special Meeting: Governing Board met with Anthem Executive to give insight on qualities and expectations for the next Chancellor.
  • March 4, 2024 Chancellor Search Advisory Committee: Search Committee met to receive charge for the search process and to give feedback on the Search Prospectus and Job Ad.
  • March 13, 2024: Anthem Executive posted the Job Ad for Chancellor Search.
  • March-May 2024: Anthem Executive sources potential candidates.
  • May 2024 Chancellor Search Advisory Committee: Search Committee will be reviewing and interviewing candidates.
