Visiting Students

Take classes at Pima without pursuing a degree or certificate. This option is ideal for students attending another college or university who want to transfer credits back to their home institution.

Many visiting students come to Pima to complete:

  • Lower-cost courses
  • Math courses
  • General education requirements
  • Flexible in-person, online, or accelerated courses

How to Enroll as a Visiting Student

Step 1: Apply as a Visiting Student
Complete the Guest Student application for admission to Pima.

When applying, have the following ready:

  • Personal email address
  • Any college or university information (if you are transferring credits back)
Step 2: Log in to MyPima
After you are admitted:
  • Activate your MyPima account
  • Review your new student checklist
  • Check your Pima email regularly, as all college communications will be sent there.

Step 3: Confirm Your Course Will Transfer (if you plan to transfer credits back)
Before registering, talk with an advisor at your college or university (UofA, NAU, and ASU) to make sure the course will:

  • Transfer back successfully
  • Apply toward your program requirements
  • Use AZTransfer’s Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) to verify that a Pima course will transfer to any of the in-state universities.

Step 4: Search for Classes
Search the Schedule of Classes for the course(s) you want to take.

Step 5: Prerequisite Evaluation (if needed)
Some courses require prerequisites. If you completed the prerequisite at another college or university, through CLEP, or AP exams, you may qualify for a prerequisite evaluation.

To Request an Evaluation

From your Pima student email account, send an email to pcc-enroll@pima.edu and include:
  • Your full name
  • Your Pima student ID (A#)
  • The course you want to take, including the term, course subject and number, and CRN
    • Example: MAT 151 (College Algebra), Fall 2026, CRN 12345
  • A PDF of your unofficial transcript showing completion of the prerequisite course (screenshots will not be accepted)
    • Most colleges and universities provide unofficial transcripts through their student portals.
Step 6: Register for Classes
Once eligible, register for your classes through MyPima.
