Pima for Youth

Pima for Youth is returning for Summer 2022 with a schedule of in-person and virtual offerings for June-July. Registration will be available online soon. View the current schedule.

Pima Community College continues to maintain the highest standards of health and safety as summer will retain virtual and online classes and services for all students and staff.

Pima for Youth noncredit classes provide summer enrichment opportunities for youth ages 9-17 in a fun and safe environment where they enjoy educational and hands-on learning activities. The classes engage students in new experiences, develop new interests, teach meaningful skills and excite youth to explore their interests.

Pima for Youth:

  • Introduces youth to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) programs
  • Promotes a college-going culture
  • Motivates youth to learn about the education required for certain careers and future
  • Classes are led by Pima instructors who create high-quality educational experiences
  • Classes are offered on Pima’s campuses and partner locations

Pima for Youth class locations are open-door facilities. During scheduled class times, participating students are free to come and go at any time.

Pima Community College staff members do not give permission for participating students to leave class or class locations, nor do they insist that they stay. Decisions about when students arrive and leave, and with whom, are between the student and their parent/guardian. It is the responsibility of the student and their parent/guardian to determine, understand and enforce whatever arrival and departure times and methods they choose.

Neither the College or Pima for Youth are daycare or childcare facilities and state licensing does not regulate their operation. All parents/guardians are required to sign an acknowledgement of the Open Door Policy. This can be done via email and electronic signature, by FAX or hard copy via mail. The signed acknowledgement must be received before the first day of class.

Questions about this policy? Email [email protected]

Class enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a class, payment must be made at the time of registration. Register and pay online or call 520.206.6468.

Once registration has been confirmed, you will receive the following forms by email:

  • Waiver of Liability & Open Door Policy
  • Participant Information
  • Directions/Map

Forms for each participant must be completed and returned by the first day of class.

Refund Policy & Class Cancellations

Email [email protected] or call 520.206.6444 to request a refund. Refund requests must be received no less than seven calendar days prior to the start of the class. Refunds will not be issued once a class begins.

Pima for Youth classes are supported by participant fees. For this reason, each class has minimum enrollment requirements. The College reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.
