College Updates

Help Us Amplify Student Voices
Pima’s marketing is evolving — we’re putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. Know a student or alum who’d be a great fit? Encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.

Our Values in Focus: Compliance & Ethics Week (Through Nov. 8)
Compliance and ethics are part of Pima’s DNA — guiding us to be fair, safe and trustworthy. This week, take a few minutes to refresh your commitment to integrity.

Your Three-part Refresh

  • Review: Revisit the Employee Code of Conduct to stay aligned with College expectations.
  • Reflect: How do you show integrity in everyday decisions? Small actions build a strong culture.
  • Speak Up: Notice a policy concern, fraud, or abuse? Report it confidentially:

Coming in January: Compliance Superstar Awards
Know someone who models integrity daily? Nominations open in January — one Superstar will be chosen each month!

ARC Seeks Donations for Winter Wonder Bags
The ARC Resource Center and Food Pantry, which each month hands out 500 food bags to PCC students, is seeking donations to provide 200 Winter Wonder Bags to Pima students experiencing financial, housing and/or food insecurity.

The Winter Wonder Bags are to help students over Pima’s Winter Break, when ARC is closed. Each bag will include a $15 turkey/ham/veggie platter voucher, as well as mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, canned fruit, biscuit mix and canned vegetables. Additional items also will be available for students to “shop” for their holiday meal.

Here are the ways Pima employees can support this ARC campaign:

For details, see the Nov. 5 Pima-All email or email pcc-arcpantry@pima.edu.

  • Where: Virtual
  • When: Equitable Assessment fellows meet Mondays; Social Justice fellows meet Fridays.

21-day Comment Period for AERC Proposed Employee Handbook Revisions
Based on employee input, the All Employee Representative Council (AERC) proposes these revisions to the College’s Employee Handbook.

The revised policies are available for a 21-day comment period through the Employee Page in MyPima. Employees are encouraged to provide feedback via this Feedback Form, linked in the “Draft to Review” section.

Market on the Move Event Nov. 13
Get fresh produce at affordable prices! The public, along with Pima staff and students, can pay $10 for a box of fresh produce during Market on the Move by using the drive-thru west of the Advanced Manufacturing building at Downtown Campus. Market on the Move runs monthly, except in January.

  • What: Market on the Move (MOM)
  • When: Nov. 13, 9-11 a.m.
  • Where: Pima Community College, Downtown Campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave.
  • Details: Find more information or volunteer for a Pima MOM here.

If Pima students and employees prefer a smaller, more student-focused box, they can pay $5 at the walk-up station near the ST Building. The $5 boxes are not available to the public.

Due to the recent MOM Warehouse fire in October, Pima Community College is donating its portion of the event proceeds to support them during this difficult time.

Cababi Art & Literary Magazine Accepting Submissions
Cababi Art & Literary Magazine is accepting art and literary submissions for the 2025-2026 issue through Jan. 15. Cababi is the official Pima publication that features art, literature, and special projects by full-time and part-time faculty, staff and administrators. Cababi is seeking submissions in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, all visual arts and live performances.
