Military & Veterans

Thank you for your service! Whether you’re active duty or a veteran, Pima Community College stands with you on your next career move. We’re here to help you get the training and education you want with focused attention on your needs.

Welcome, Pima student!

The PCC Military & Veterans Services Office provides dedicated advisors to help military or veteran students in applying, transferring or initiating Veterans Education Benefits.

First Steps:  Complete the online admissions application to get started on your Pima Education.  The Admission website provides a guide to the simple steps you'll need to take to become a PCC student.

If you're planning to use VA education benefits, learn more about initiating these benefits at Pima on our Veterans Benefit website.  

If you’re planning to use tuition assistance (TA), learn more about initiating the process on the DMAFB Center webpage in the section for Active Duty personnel.

Some of the many specialized services of interest:

  • Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Education Center is convenient to DM personnel and supports all branches of the military. The PCC education office at DMAFB and offers classes designed to fit your schedule that are taught by military friendly instructors. Find DMAFB classes.
  • PCC's General Education Mobile assists Air Force personnel to complete their 15-hour Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) General Education Course requirements online

Connect with other military and veteran students

Pima has an active community of students who instantly understand your life experience. Connect with them and maintain those bonds in several ways.
  • The Veterans Center at the Downtown Campus and Veterans Spaces at other campuses are designated places to meet others with military backgrounds.
  • Find out about services and activities on Pima’s X(formerly Twitter) and Facebook accounts.
  • Join the Pima Community College Chapter of Student Veterans of America (SVA). This national organization supports veterans going to college and after graduation.

Want to Prepare for College?

TRiO Veterans Upward Bound  (VUB) at Pima gets you started by getting you prepared for your college experience. Use this program before you apply for college. VUB provides

  • college entrance exams and placement tests preparation
  • career and academic assessments
  • advice on education options
  • customized tutoring programs
  • assistance in tapping services from the VA, state veterans agencies, veteran associations and other support agencies and organizations
