How Can We Help?
Applied Technology Division
PCC-Aviation@pima.eduIn this 37-week, hands-on program, you’ll learn how to check and test airplane parts to find issues — without damaging them — so they can still be safely used. This kind of work is crucial in the aviation industry and is done in almost every aircraft maintenance shop.
You’ll train in six key inspection methods used in aerospace and aviation. These classes meet only the academic requirements for NAS410 Level II, a standard used in the industry. To become fully certified, you’ll also need some on-the-job training and to pass your employer’s tests.

Expand Your Career Opportunities with NDT Certifications
With Nondestructive testing (NDT) certification, you may have more career opportunities in the aviation industry. The aviation industry and most aircraft maintenance facilities heavily rely on NDT because of its nondestructive nature and because it can more effectively find discontinuities and differences in material characteristics.
