Virtual Graduation Ceremony
Why is this year’s ceremony virtual?
During the past year, millions of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered, however, there’re millions still unprotected. In order to keep everyone safe, Pima Community College decided to hold your graduation ceremony virtually.
When is Virtual Graduation?
Virtual Graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 7:00 pm on Pima's YouTube channel, pimaccvideos.
How will I receive my degree?
Your certificate or degree will be mailed to you following Virtual Graduation. It may take up to 10 weeks.
If I graduated in summer/winter 2020, am I still invited to Virtual Graduation?
Yes, all 2020 summer and fall students are invited to attend Virtual Graduation and festivities.
Will my name be listed in the program or during the virtual ceremony?
Your name will appear in the program and during the May 19 virtual ceremony unless you indicated “confidential” on your graduation application. This option allows students to protect their privacy. If you have questions, please email registrar@pima.edu.
Will the ceremony include caption?
ASL interpreters and captioning will be available. Call ADR at 520-206-6688 for online accessibility support.
Will Virtual Graduation be recorded?
Yes. Virtual Graduation will be recorded and available on Pima’s YouTube Channel, pimaccvideos.
Get Involved in Virtual Graduation
Graduation is a culmination of your academic achievements and memories you’ve created during your time at Pima Community College and we want to highlight YOU during the show.
You can get involved by sharing your smiles, videos and stories to be featured during graduation. Be part of this year’s ceremony by sharing a memory of you in nature, studying in class, with family/friends or at Pima wearing your regalia or favorite outfit.
How can I share my photos, videos or stories?

Is there a deadline to submit my photos, videos or stories?
Yes. Share your photos by Friday, May 7, 2021.
Do I have to wear my regalia in the photos or videos I submit?
No. You may wear your favorite outfit that is appropriate to be shown during a graduation celebration.

What is Photo Week?
Photo Week is an optional event for graduates to get their graduation photo taken with friends and family. The May 21, 24 and 25 Photo Week will be at the District Office, Media Production and Publications, 4905 E. Broadway Blvd., Building B, Room 102 (map).

Is Photo Week mandatory?
No. Photo Week is an optional event open to all graduates for an in-person photo shoot.
How can I get a copy of my photos?
Get a copy of your photos here.
How much will my photo(s) cost?
You may download your photos for free.
Will there be COVID-19 protocols?
Yes. You will be asked to check-in and have your temperature checked. You must wear a mask at all times with the exception of when you’re having your photo taken.
How long do I expect to be at Photo Week?
It depends on how many graduates participate.
Regalia & Keepsakes
How do I order my cap & gown?
You may order your cap and gown before April 11, 2021.
Where do I order a special stole, rope or keepsake?
You may order your special accessories at the Pima Shop.
Who do I contact if I have questions about ordering?

As a congratulatory token, you will be receiving a Grad Box containing useful items through the mail.
What if I don’t receive a Grad Box?
