Information for Job Applicants

Thank you for your interest in working at Pima Community College. How to Apply

  • For Staff and Administrative positions, including Temporary and Federal Work Study jobs, review the online postings. After finding a job of interest, use our online system to create an account and complete an online application.
  • For Faculty positions, refer to the Jobs - Faculty web site to view openings.
  • For Adjunct Faculty positions, follow the steps listed on the Teaching Eligibility webpages

A criminal background investigation is a requirement for all employee types and positions, regular and temporary.  Volunteers will also be subject to a criminal background investigation. 

About the Application Process

  • For Staff, Administrator, Temporary and Federal Work Study positions, employment applications are accepted only for current openings. Job opportunities provide information about positions and their qualifications.
  • Applicants for Staff and Administrator positions are required to submit a letter of interest. Some jobs require additional information, such as a resume, copies of licenses or certifications, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), transcripts or a supplemental questionnaire. Read the position description carefully to determine the materials required.
  • Supplemental materials (attachments) may be no larger than 5 MB each; however multiple attachments are permitted.
  • Submit your completed application online.
  • To check the status of your application log-in to your account and check the Application Status.
  • A computer is available for use in completing applications in the Human Resources office, 4905D East Broadway Blvd. room D-102, Tucson, Arizona 85709-1180. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Arizona Standard Time; the office is closed for all college holidays.
  • To request a reasonable accommodation to complete an application, please contact the Human Resources Office.
  • You'll be notified whenever your application status changes.
  • Once received, applications and supporting materials are reviewed for the job minimum qualifications, then screened for relevant knowledge, skills and abilities. Written or oral exercises, interviews and other assessments may be requested.
  • When screening reviews are finished, finalists are referred to the hiring supervisor or administrator. Final interviews are conducted.
  • A final decision is made based on screening results, interview results, references, supervisory checks and the needs of the hiring department.
  • The entire process is reviewed by Human Resources management to assure that Pima policy and the competitive employment process both have been followed. All hires are subject to approval by the Board of Governors.

Campus Safety

PCC makes every effort to provide a safe and secure work environment. The Jeanne Clery Campus Crime Act Annual Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on a campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by PCC; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, a campus or building or property owned or controlled by the College.
