College Updates
No @PimaNews Next Week – Rodeo Break
There will not be an issue of @PimaNews next week because the College will be closed for Rodeo Break. The next issue will be March 5.
AI Happy Hour Feb. 25 Canceled
Due to the College’s Rodeo Break, the AI Community of Practice & Play has canceled the AI Happy Hour scheduled for 5 p.m., Feb. 25.
Everyone is welcome to the group’s 2 p.m., meeting on March 3. HRS Lead Faculty Cory Pearson will share examples of assignments designed to teach responsible AI use while showing real-world applications to prepare students for the workplace. Attend the Zoom meeting at https://pima.zoom.us/j/92461016939.
Help Us Amplify Student Voices
Pima’s marketing is putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. Know a student or alum who’d be a great fit? Encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.
Media Production Extends Turnaround Times
The College’s Media Production team is currently managing a high volume of requests during a period of staffing transition. As a result, turnaround times for new projects may be longer than usual, typically three weeks or more.
The team will make every effort to accommodate time-sensitive needs; however, expedited or rush requests cannot be guaranteed at this time. To help ensure the best possible support, we encourage you to submit detailed project requests as early as possible when planning upcoming work with specific deadlines.
If you have questions or would like guidance on timing or project planning, please email marketing@pima.edu.
