College Updates
@PimaNews Summer Schedule
This issue of @PimaNews will be the final issue of the spring 2025 semester. The summer schedule is May 29, June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24, and Aug. 7. The first issue of fall 2025 is Aug. 21. The deadline for submitting announcements is noon, Mondays, the week of publication. And items should be limited to 75 words.
Help Us Amplify Student Voices
Pima’s marketing is evolving — we’re putting real students front and center to showcase their unique Pima journeys and let their voices shine. Know a student or alum who’d be a great fit? Encourage them to fill out this short form! They can share as much about themselves as they’d like and let us know which marketing projects interest them. With your help, we can feature more students and highlight the wide range of academic paths, interests and goals that make our Pima community so diverse. If you have questions, contact marketing@pima.edu.
Student Employee and Supervisor of the Year Awards
Pima proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of its student employees and supervisors during the April 18 Student Employee of the Year Ceremony.
Congratulations to Clara Hernandez, this year’s Student Employee of the Year, and Rose Wynd, Student Employee Supervisor of the Year. A special congratulations goes to Faith Moses, who earned national recognition as the Diversity and Inclusion Student Employee of the Year by the National Student Employment Association. Moses works with Brad Butler, Project Manager for Educational Technology.
Thank you to all of our student employees for their hard work and to everyone who made the event possible, including the event volunteers, evaluation committee, Charles Wacker, Michael Lich, Greg Wilson, Dolores Durán-Cerda, Marcy Euler, Brian Stewart and Pima Foundation.

Pima Heroes Award
Encourage students to apply for the Pima Heroes Award! The scholarship application deadline is May 30.
The Pima Heroes Award is a new recognition and scholarship opportunity for students who make a positive impact in their communities. To qualify, students must be enrolled in at least six credits for both Spring and Fall 2025 (continuing students) and actively participate in community service.
Students can find full scholarship details and apply on Scholarship Universe. For questions, contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, scholarships@pima.edu.
