Pima Transfer Partnerships

Transferring should be easy. And it is at Pima. We’ve partnered with four-year colleges and universities both in Arizona and around the country to create a smoother transition for you. With these partnerships, you’ll save money while receiving an excellent education for your associate and bachelor’s degrees.

Arizona Colleges

You don’t have to leave Arizona to earn a bachelor’s degree. View the AZTransfer Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) to see how your credits will transfer to Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona.

Arizona State University (ASU)

ASU is part of the Arizona statewide transfer system and offers Bachelor of Applied Science Programs, among many other programs.

  • Main campus: Tempe, AZ
  • Programs available: All, with some offered in Tucson
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom and online programs
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 64 credits accepted for most programs; 75 credits for BAS programs
  • Pima partnership: Transfer Admissions Guarantee 

Northern Arizona University (NAU)

NAU is part of the Arizona statewide transfer system and offers Bachelor of Applied Science Programs, as well as 90-30 (3+1) Interdisciplinary Studies programs in select fields of study.

  • Main campus: Flagstaff, AZ
  • Programs available: All
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom and some online programs
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 64 credits accepted for most programs, with some programs accepting 75 or 90 credits

University of Arizona (UA)

UA is part of the Arizona statewide transfer system and offers Bachelor of Applied Science Programs.


Arizona Christian University

Arizona Christian University has three campuses in Arizona. The $30 application fee will be waived with attendance at an information session.

  • Main campus: Phoenix, AZ; other sites in Chandler-Gilbert, AZ and Peoria, AZ
  • Programs available: Behavioral Health, Business Administration, Christian Ministries, and Education Elementary and Secondary
  • Program delivery: 1 evening per week in metro Phoenix; limited online classes
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 84 credits accepted
  • Pima partnership: Arizona Christian University Articulation

Chamberlain College of Nursing

  • Main campus: Phoenix, AZ
  • Programs available: Nursing
  • Program delivery: Online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 80 credits for the AAS degree; additional credits possible. 
  • Pima partnership: Chamberlain Articulation; save 10% on tuition and apply for free for Pima AAS nursing graduates

Grand Canyon University

  • Main campus: Phoenix, AZ
  • Programs available: All - Includes program areas in Accounting, Biology, Business Administration, Dance, Education, Elementary Education, Exercise Science, Health Care Administration, Health Science, Hospitality, Management, Justice Studies, Music Performance, Nursing, Psychology, RN to BSN, and Theatre/Drama
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom or online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum accepted varies from 38-84
  • Pima partnership: save 10% on tuition; Articulation Agreement ; Educational Alliance Agreement ; Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) Agreement

Prescott College

  • Main campus: Prescott, AZ, additional campus in Tucson, AZ

  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 90 credits accepted

University of Phoenix

  • Main campus: Phoenix, AX; campuses in Tucson
  • Programs available: Business, Education, Human Services, Nursing and Technology programs are available at a campus or online
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom and online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 75 credits accepted
  • Pima partnership: U of Phoenix Articulation; save 10% on tuition if you earn an associate’s degree at Pima

Bellevue University

Capella University

  • Main campus: Minneapolis, MN
  • Programs available: Business, technology, and nursing areas
  • Program delivery: Online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 60 credits accepted; Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) meets lower-division General Education requirements, excluding courses specified in the General Education mapping.

Colorado State University

  • Main campus: Fort Collins, CO
  • Programs available: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Business (ABUS), Associate of Fine Arts (AFA), Associate of Science (AS) and Associate of General Studies (AGS)
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom and online programs
  • Credit transfer: Minimum of 60 credit hours
  • Pima partnership: Colorado State University Articulation

Eastern New Mexico University

ENMU offers NM in-state tuition for students taking six or fewer credits per semester. The school recognizes the AGEC as meeting general education requirements.

  • Main campus: Portales, NM
  • Programs available: Applied Arts & Sciences, Aviation Studies, Business Administration (includes Emergency Medical Services Mgmt and Hospitality Mgmt), Nursing, Occupational Education, University Studies
  • Program delivery: Online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 74-95 credits depending on the program; General Education Curriculum (AGEC) meets lower-division General Education requirements for the New Mexico transfer core. Credit by examination will be awarded for Advanced Placement (AP) and College-Level Examination of Proficiency (CLEP).

New Mexico State University

Purdue Global University (formerly Kaplan)

  • Main campus: Davenport, IA
  • Programs available: Psychology, Communication, Early Childhood Development, Paralegal, Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, Health and Wellness, Health Care Administration, Health Science, Nutrition Science
  • Program delivery: Online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 75% total credits required for graduation from KU accepted; block transfer of 60 credits for any earned associate degree
  • Pima partnership: Kaplan Articulation and Pima to Kaplan 3+1 Plan
  • Website: Purdue Global University

Southern New Hampshire University

  • Main campus: Online
  • Programs available: Pathways built for ​Business Studies, Communication, Graphic Design, Health Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, Technical Management. Additionally, ​200+ online undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Program delivery: Online
  • Credit transfer: Maximum of 90 credits accepted; credit by examination will be awarded for College-Level Examination of Proficiency (CLEP), DANTES (DSST) and Excelsior. Military students may transfer up to 90 hours for a bachelor's degree with unlimited CLEP, DANTES and Excelsior credits.
  • Pima partnership: Southern New Hampshire Articulation; eligible employees and immediate family of employees will receive a 10% tuition reduction.

The Catholic University of America

University Of Maryland Global Campus

  • Main campus: Adelphi, MD

Upper Iowa University

  • Programs available: All
  • Program delivery: Traditional classroom, online or combination (hybrid)
  • Credit transfer: Up to 78 with an earned associate degree
