AGEC-A

Certificate

Arizona General Education Curriculum - Arts (AGEC-A) courses meet freshman/sophomore general education requirements for UA, NAU, ASU and many other institutions, as well as the general education requirements for Pima's transfer degrees.

Important: Pima strongly urges AGEC-A students to also complete an Associate of Arts or Associate of Fine Arts degree before transferring to a university.

Students who complete an AGEC-A and wish to also complete an AGEC-B or AGEC-S, must complete the mathematics or science courses defined within that new degree program. However, the other general education requirements are fulfilled by the AGEC-A.

If you are working toward a transfer degree, note that specific degrees may require core or support courses that already fulfill some or all of the AGEC requirements. Always use your specific degree web page or your MyDegreePlan (on the MyPima Academics tab) to identify the courses required to earn your degree.
