Historic Timeline: 1990-1999

1990

  • PCC and UA collaborate to start offering weekend and evening courses leading to an Associate of Arts at PCC and a Bachelor of Arts at UA

1991

  • PCC Center for the Arts opens at West Campus
  • The College announces plans to consider building six new campuses over the next 25 years in Northeast Tucson, Southwest Tucson, Green Valley, Sahuarita and Vail

1992

  • Fall enrollment grew to over 30,000 students

1993

  • The current Desert Vista Campus opened

1997

  • The current Community Campus facility was opened in January

1998

  • The College established the Northwest Community Learning Center, which would later be replaced by the Northwest Campus
