A Nexus of Quality IT Learning
The goal of the Pima Community College Center of Excellence (CoE) in Information Technology and Cybersecurity is to fundamentally change IT education and provide practical, hands-on experience to develop a skilled workforce that can help secure Tucson, the state of Arizona, and the nation. The Center aims to provide a nexus of quality IT learning for the community and be a focal point for practical and innovative IT training. In the Pima Community College portion of the Center, our goal is to create the best opportunity for students to obtain an Associates of Applied Science in Cybersecurity, Network/ Cyber Defense or Programmer Analyst. The Associated of Applied Science Cybersecurity program is a validated Program of Study through the NSA Center of Academic Excellence Program. Additional IT Support Technician and Specialist certificates are available. The CoE is separated into multiple functional areas:

A nationally recognized non-profit organization known for its talent, disruptive innovation, and ability to create capable cyber warriors.

Advisory Committee
The IT/Cybersecurity Business and Industry Advisory Committee is program specific and comprised of local and/or regional business and industry professionals and other stakeholders. The Committee represents expertise in industry trends, employment projections, program relevance and effectiveness; providing regular guidance in areas consistent with member knowledge. The Committee meets twice a year and provides the Program with valuable feedback about the curriculum, Center of Excellence, training needs, and industry demands.
