All-Academic Athlete, Gabi Amparano, shares her Pima Story
Playing since the age of four, Gabi Amparano is balancing more than her defensive responsibilities on the soccer field
Sophomore Gabi Amparano is one amongst 74 All-Academic Athletes from 11 teams at Pima Community College who received the 2023 NJCAA All-Academic recognition, a record number for the College’s Athletics program.
Gabi plays as a defensive midfielder in the women’s soccer team all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She is working toward getting her associate degree in science majoring in biology.
For Gabi, becoming part of a small but strong knit community has been helpful as she figures out what she’d like to pursue when she graduates college. “There's just so many good athletes here and that we can have a good balance between school and our sports is really awesome,” said Gabi.
