TRiO Programs are Helping Students Achieve Their Goals
Yara Villalobos credits TRiO for guidance and support to succeed in college
“I felt very lost and disconnected from high school. When I came here to PCC and realized the TRiO program would help me with financial aid, or study lab, or just having a person as a resource. I knew I had support; that’s what TRiO was for me,” PCC TRiO Graduate, Yara Villalobos said.
The TRiO programs at Pima Community College have helped numerous first generation, low income and disadvantage students with resources to fulfill their college goals, dreams and aspirations. Yara started attending PCC in 2016, quickly learned about the TRiO programs and hasn’t looked back since.
There are 9 different TRiO programs offered at PCC which help over 350 students.
