21 PCC students receive national scholarships from 3M

Tucson,  AZ -- Twenty-one current or incoming Pima Community College students have been chosen to receive The Skilled Trade--3M Transformational Scholarship, a national award through 3M and the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3).

The $1,000 scholarship gives students the ability to build within the community by focusing on bridging gaps of inequality with the highest standards of skilled trades and education.

The students learned the good news at last week's NC3 Letter of Intent Signing Day at Pima's Downtown Campus. This national event is sponsored by NC3. This year, 74 institutions nationwide participated in the event, which mirrors the NCAA’s national signing day for athletes who commit to play sports in college.
