Designed for beginners, this two-session course offers a practical introduction to using generative AI for real-world writing and research—no technical or coding experience required.
Session 1 - participants will explore what AI tools can and cannot do, discuss common questions and concerns, and learn about security, privacy, and ethical considerations before working hands-on with writing and research tasks.
Session 2 - focuses on refining skills, troubleshooting challenges, evaluating AI-generated content, and developing a thoughtful, effective approach to using AI in everyday and professional contexts.
Between sessions, participants will practice using AI tools with guided activities and will have opportunities to ask questions and receive guidance as they apply these tools to their own writing or research goals.
