Electrician

Certificate

Pima’s Electrician Certificate program teaches you the practical skills needed to start working as an electrician. You’ll learn how to safely install wiring in houses and businesses, understand 

basic plans and drawings and use tools to find and fix electrical problems. The program also covers professionalism, safety rules, how electricity works and how to handle wires, boxes and other parts. 

You’ll get lots of hands-on practice and learn how to follow step-by-step instructions to connect electrical systems. You’ll be taught by experienced professionals who know the industry inside and out. It’s a great option if you’re starting a new career or want to learn a skill that’s always in demand.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Read basic electrical blueprints and technical drawings
  • Test and fix electrical circuits and equipment
  • Use the right tools, terms, and plans to wire things correctly
  • Follow and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC)
