Veterinary Technology (Veterinary Nursing)

Are you looking for a career helping animals and the people who love them?

Pima Community College’s Veterinary programs can be a good way to get started on your path to jobs in animal health.

Our Vet Tech students participate in hands-on learning and clinical experiences integral to the practice of veterinary medicine. Students learn veterinary terminology and important on-the-job skills like handling and restraint, nursing care, and more. Students also prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). Graduates must pass their VTNE and state license examination to become certified veterinary technicians. License requirements may vary by state.
