Veterinary Technology (Veterinary Nursing)

Are you looking for a career helping animals and the people who love them?

Pima Community College’s Veterinary programs can be a good way to get started on your path to jobs in animal health.

The Practice Assistant program trains you to provide front-office and basic treatment assistance to a veterinary practice.

Our Vet Tech students participate in hands-on learning and clinical experiences integral to the practice of veterinary medicine. Students learn veterinary terminology and important on-the-job skills like handling and restraint, nursing care, and more. Students also prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).
