Nursing (ADN)
Associate of Applied Science
How Can We Help?
In this program, you’ll gain the comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience you need to become a registered nurse (RN). You’ll develop the essential skills to provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients about their health and offer emotional support to patients and families. With the training you receive over three years or less, you’ll be fully prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®) and begin your RN career.
The ADN program offers you options to advance your education step-by-step, giving you the opportunity to work in the field while you continue your studies. For example, after completing the first semester, you may be eligible to sit for the state Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) exam. By the end of your first three semesters, you may sit for the national exam to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Additionally, Pima’s ADN program allows you to pursue your bachelor’s degree at the same time, opening the door to even more nursing career possibilities. This stackable pathway provides flexibility, enabling you to grow your credentials and career as you go.
