How Can We Help?
In Pima’s Medical Laboratory Technician program you’ll learn how to analyze blood, tissue and other samples to help spot diseases and health issues. You’ll do your classroom study and lab work in our cutting-edge Health Professions Center or Excellence, followed by supervised clinical experience. You can start by earning Pima’s Phlebotomy Certificate, which is stackable into the MLT program. The MLT program can be completed in four semesters and prepares you for national certification.
Completing our Medical Laboratory Technician program prepares you for national certification to work in various types of laboratories. Additionally, after one year of experience, Pima MLT graduates who earn a bachelor’s degree may sit for the ASCP MLS exam.

- How to distinguish laboratory test and results with appropriate follow-up
- Analyze and follow action plans and lab procedures

Since 2010, 100% of our MLT graduates have passed the ASCP MLT certification examination and have been hired as an MLT within six months of graduation.
