Learn to excel at caring for and educating young children through this flexible, high-quality program. Become a teacher’s aide, lead teacher or director of a preschool center, or open your own home child care center. Degree completion meets the criteria for the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Career Lattice Level E.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:
  • child development and characteristics of children ages 0-8 years
  • building family and community relationships
  • goals, benefits and uses of assessments
  • developmentally effective teaching approaches, including a broad array of effective strategies and tools
  • building meaningful curriculum using content knowledge and understanding of central concepts, inquiry tools and structures
