Program Outcomes - Medical Assistant Certificate
Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant Certificate program, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate appropriate communication skills by effectively engaging in written and oral communication as demonstrated through charting and communication with patients from different age groups, cultures and other health professionals.
- Perform within legal and ethical boundaries in the scope of practice for medical assistants.
Upon successful completion of the Administrative Medical Assistant Concentration (HPMA), the learner will also be able to:
- Perform medical assisting administrative procedures competently and safely within their scope of practice.
Upon successful completion of the Clinical Medical Assistant Concentration (HPMC), the learner will also be able to:
- Perform medical assisting clinical procedures competently and safely within their scope of practice.
