Program Outcomes - Medical Assistant Certificate

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Medical Assistant Certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Competently perform administrative responsibilities in an outpatient healthcare environment.

  2. Demonstrate proficiency with oral and written communication with patients and  staff.

  3. Correctly assess and document a patient’s physical and mental health status based on subjective and objective information to assure accuracy in diagnosis and treatment.

  4. Complete and document procedures and point of care testing to differentiate between health and pathology.

  • Five-year weighted average for student satisfaction with the program: 99%.

  • Pass rate for students who have taken a National Certification exam: 85%.
