Accounting: Enrolled Agent
Prepare for a career as an Enrolled Agent by gaining the practical skills needed to take the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE), a three-part exam that a student must successfully pass to receive the IRS Enrolled Agent certification. An enrolled agent is certified by the IRS to perform income tax preparation and provide representation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts.

Career Options: Seek employment as an Enrolled Agent (EA), having earned a nationally recognized certification confirming competency in tax matters and professional ethics. Enrolled Agents can start their own tax practice or seek a career with accounting firms, law firms, corporate accounting departments, state departments of revenue, investment firms, banks, or private practices.
Academic Options: Continue your studies by taking classes toward an Accounting Associate of Applied Science degree or explore other business transfer options.
