PCC’s Alberding Amble April 12 Funds Math Scholarship

Enter the 5K or Fun Run/Walk by April 4 to get reduced rate

Tucson, AZ – This year’s Pima Community College’s Alberding Amble 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk is Saturday, April 12 at Lincoln Park.

Medals will be awarded to the top three men and top three women in each 10-year age bracket. The 5K route includes part of the Atterbury Wash Greenway.

Proceeds for the event will be used to fund the Art Alberding Math Scholar Award, presented annually to qualifying PCC students. It is named after Dr. Art Alberding, one of the first members of the Colleges’ math faculty. Last year, the college gave two awards.

  • What: Alberding Amble 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk
  • Where: Lincoln Park, 4325 S. Pantano Road
  • When: 8 a.m. (5K) and 9 a.m. (Fun Run/Walk), both April 12
  • Cost: 5K: Early Registration (on or before April 4), $15; Late Registration, $20;
  • Fun Run/Walk: Early Registration (on or before April 4), $7; Late Registration, $10. Kids younger than 13 year run free.
