Dr. Zelema Harris to Provide Leadership of PCC Provost’s Office

November 12, 2013

Dr. Jerry Migler takes post in Colorado; PCC to search for “academic leader” to be Interim Provost

Tucson, AZ – Interim Executive Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness Dr. Zelema Harris will provide leadership of the Provost’s Office while Pima Community College searches for an Interim Provost and EVC for Academic Services to replace Dr. Jerry Migler.

Dr. Migler will leave PCC Dec. 13 to become vice president of academic affairs for the Colorado Community College System.

As Interim Chancellor earlier this year, Dr. Harris directed the College’s first responses to the Higher Learning Commission, including having the Provost’s Office assume leadership of PCC accreditation activities.

“We will seek input from faculty leadership as we search for an Interim Provost,” Chancellor Lee D. Lambert said.  “We hope to have the position filled soon by a recognized academic leader.”

The HLC placed PCC on probation in April. For information about the College’s response, see the Pima Addresses Probation webpage.
