Protect Your Child with an AZCHIP Child Identification Kit

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College and the Arizona Freemasons are teaming up to help you protect your children.

On Jan. 12, complete an AZCHIP Child Identification Kit at PCC’s Downtown Campus. The kit includes fingerprints, a color photo, a recorded interview and a DNA sample collected by cheek swab.

The Freemasons’ AZCHIP – Arizona Child Identification Program – addresses the alarming number of children reported missing each year. While most are found, many are not. All the identifying materials generated by the program are given to the child’s family, and can greatly assist law enforcement in the crucial early hours of a search.

The Freemasons retain none of the information and the program is offered to the public at no charge.

AZCHIP is part of MASONICHIP, an initiative of North American Freemason’s Grand Lodges. MASONICHIP received a special award of commendation in February 2007 from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children for its effort to generate packs of identifying items of children for parents.

The Epes Randolph Lodge No. 32 of Tucson and PCC’s Upward Bound Program, including students from Amphi, Rincon and Presidio high schools, are co-sponsoring the Jan. 12 event.
