Help Sessions & Orientation

FAFSA Frenzy

Get free help in completing your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) with Pima’s public sessions. We'll help you complete the FAFSA online.

When are the Workshops?

Look for FAFSA Frenzy sessions on the Financial Aid Workshops calendar for locations, dates and times.

Please bring:

  • Social Security number
  • driver's license
  • W-2 or pay stubs
  • most recent tax return (2012 for the 2013-2014 year, or 2013 for the 2014-2015 year)
  • FAFSA Worksheet
  • FAFSA PIN if available

Save time by filling out the 2014-2015 FAFSA Worksheet as much as possible before your session.  Please bring this with you to the session.

We can help you set-up or reset a FAFSA PIN if needed.

Financial Aid Orientation

You must attend a Financial Aid Orientation if you are planning to receive financial aid. This is a yearly requirement that must be completed before your scheduled disbursement of funds is made. The Financial Aid Orientation information provided is due to Federal regulations changing every year. You need to select from the calendar the year that you will be attending and satisfy this requirement.

When are in-person orientations?

FA Orientations are scheduled at all campuses and are offered at a variety of times.  No registration or reservation is necessary, but seating is first-come, first-served and seating priority is given to students.  Bring a pen or pencil and your student ID card.

2014-2015 FA Orientations are coming soon.

Unable to attend a session in person?  Online Orientation

You will gain the most information if you attend in person. The Financial Aid Office recommends the in-person session for those who are able to attend, but understands that not every student has the ability to visit a campus. If you are in this situation, you can view a presentation.

You will submit the answers that you record on your Study Guide through MyPima, on the Financial Aid tab:

  • Click on Financial Aid Award
  • Select 2013-2014
  • Click on the Resources/Additional Information tab
  • Select the sequence of answers that matches the answers in your Study Guide.

Our office will not accept a copy of the completed Study Guide to satisfy your Financial Aid Orientation requirement.  Your red flag will be updated within 24-48 business hours to reflect whether or not you answered the question correctly.
