College Updates

College Special Program Marks 20th Anniversary of Sept. 11 Terror Attacks
The College will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with a special program highlighting their impact on Tucson and recollections from members of the Pima family. The program will be available starting at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 11 on the College’s YouTube channel.

Emails with details will go out Friday, as well as Saturday morning.

Full-Time Faculty Sabbatical Proposals Due Oct. 18
The Faculty Professional Development and Sabbatical Committee has set the proposal window for fall 2022 and spring 2023. The deadline to submit a complete proposal is Oct. 18. You can find complete information, along with a list of committee members, at My Pima > Employees > Intranet Guide > Academic Resources > Faculty Professional Development > Faculty Sabbaticals.

Work Study Supervisor Training Through October
The College’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship is offering Work Study Supervisor Training through October. If you are a student employee supervisor and would like a refresher, or are considering becoming a student employee supervisor, you may register for a session in MyCareerCenter:

Pima Employment Opportunities for Internal Candidates
The College values its employees and wants them to advance their careers here. That is why some positions are open only to internal candidates. Submit Employee, Student Stories for Web, Social Media
The College now has a form for you to submit a story to be featured on Pima’s website, social media accounts and other promotional materials. Story submissions should highlight students, faculty, staff, programs and/or community partnerships and promote the mission of the College. Today from 5 to 7 p.m., the Louis Carlos Bernal Gallery has its reception for Egress - Works on Paper with Alice Browne, Anthony Banks, and George Little, three London-based painters. You also can keep current on the latest wellness news.
