Car Show Donation to Pima Community College
The Tucson Street Rod Association (TSRA) Rodders Day Car Show for 2020 was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn’t stop TSRA and its sponsors from making a donation to Pima Community College this year.
TSRA presented a check of $4,750 on Sept. 16 to the Pima Community College Foundation, bringing its total donations to the College over the last three years to $15,000. And mark your calendars: the next TSRA Rodders Day Car Show is set for April 24, 2021, at the Downtown Campus. The event is free and open the public.
“Our sponsors really believe in our mission of supporting Pima’s Applied Technology programs and producing more graduates in the hands-on trades. So, when the car show was cancelled, our major sponsors chose to donate their sponsorship fees for 2020 to the College rather than get a refund,” said Gary Scheer, vice president of TSRA.
