The federally funded HPOG HOPES (Health Career Opportunities with Personalized Educational Supports) supports low-income eligible students through training for careers in high-demand healthcare fields. 

Grants funds Library redesign, adds Learning Center

Thanks to a $2.6 million federal Title V grant, the Desert Vista Campus is integrating and expanding student resources, including a redesign of the library in 2015-16 to add an integrated Learning Center. Funding for the Campus Integrated Model for Attainment also provides more tools to improve student success and retention by redesigning courses and using a variety of learning strategies.

PCC’s Center for Training and Development offers more than one dozen clock-hour training programs in health, culinary and food service, and business professions. Since 1963, CTD has trained approximately 50,000, with a 90 percent completion rate and an 85 percent job placement rate.
