Meet the CIO

Greetings Pima Community College Students, Faculty and Staff:

Photo of Raj MurthyThe PCC Information Technology Department provides robust online systems and services to support you on your educational journey.

As you start executing your plans for a productive semester, I want to call your attention to some technology-related issues that will significantly impact your actions while online.

As I am sure you have heard on countless occasions, officials at the highest ranks in government and all of corporate America have been targets of hacks. Cyber attacks, specifically over email and file sharing, is increasing exponentially.

Please do not share your credentials (username and password) with anyone EVER.

I strongly recommend that you pay close attention to everything you open and/or click, whether on the web or in email. When in doubt, refrain, and seek IT help, which can be found at all of the following locations. Losing hours of thoughtful and time consuming work will critically affect your progress, so please read about the latest threats and best practices to avoid becoming a victim.  Be vigilant and help others be safe as well.

Please visit our selected current projects page to see our progress in implementing new systems and services to assist you.

Please send me your questions, concerns, and ideas at cio@pima.edu

Best wishes,

Raj Murthy, Ph.D., MBA., MSc.
