Selected Initiatives

Human Resources partners with other College departments to attract and retain qualified employees and to implement systems and processes that meet College needs.

Below is a sampling of some recent HR initiatives.

HR Structure and Systems Evaluation

In the spirit of continuous improvement and in alignment with the plans laid out in the College’s response to the HLC’s probation sanctions, consultants from Baker Tilly have started the process of reviewing PCC’s Human Resources functions.  In October and November the consultants will conduct fieldwork (e.g., surveys, staff interviews) to develop a strong understanding of how the department operates. The consultants will be evaluating all aspects of HR.  Upon completion of their field work, Baker Tilly will report details of their findings and recommendations, as well as actionable steps that can be implemented to achieve success in improving operational efficiency.  The final report is expected in December.
