Testing

In addition to assessment for college placement tests, Pima Community College offers additional tests and exams to aid in your academic success.  The College Assessment Centers offer several optional Challenge Exams that allow students to demonstrate competency in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Language.  Students may bypass certain coursework by attaining passing scores on these exams.

Students are also encouraged to consider taking the College Level Examination Placement (CLEP) test to reduce necessary coursework.  While Pima Community College does not administer the CLEP test, credit earned through the test may be applied to a student's Pima Community College transcript.  

The College also offers other exams such as the GED, TOEFL, and several career and personality tests. Please contact a campus Assessment Center for fee information.
