Phone Registration Hints

  • You need a touch tone phone to register through MAX 2000.
  • Gather the information you need before you call: your student ID number, date of birth or PIN, and the proper 5-digit Course Registration Numbers (CRNs).
  • You will be prompted for your term, student ID, and date of birth or PIN any time you try to retrieve personal information.
  • If paying by credit card, have your card available.
  • Have pencil and paper ready to write down the registration instructions.
  • Turn off call waiting. It may interrupt or cancel your registration. Press *70 to temporarily turn off call waiting before dialing.
  • Do not put telephone registration on hold. You will lose your registration.
  • When entering numbers, remember to use the number zero instead of the letter "O."
  • Listen carefully and wait until each message is finished before entering numbers.
  • You cannot enroll in more than one section of a class. Only one seat per person per class can be reserved at a time.
  • You cannot enroll in a class that is full. With prior permission, you can enroll in a class that requires an instructor's permission and signature.
  • If you are unable to register for some of your classes through MAX 2000, complete a partial registration, then sign-up for remaining classes later through any campus Admissions Office.
  • Do not hang up during your telephone registration session, or you will lose your transaction. Wait for telephone registration to confirm your transaction before hanging up. If you're disconnected before the session is over, call back and try again.
