Public Safety
Pima Community College makes every effort to provide a safe and secure environment so that you can concentrate on your educational and professional goals.
Pima has its own Department of Public Safety, staffed by 30 sworn police officers and additional security staff to police and provide assistance at all of its campuses, centers and other sites.
The department has
- offices on all campuses.
- a 24/7 communication system that fields emergency and assistance calls around the clock.
- campus phones that provide direct contact with the department in an emergency.
- a bicycle patrol unit.
- Civilian community service officers that provide a constant, visible presence.
Public Safety Activity
The department's Annual Report shows the number of incidents that it responded to -- from requests for escorts and motorist assistance to law enforcement cases.

Medical Emergencies
The department provides first aid and coordinates responses with other agencies such as the fire department and paramedics.
Crisis Help
PCC provides other services to help you handle personal crises, from on-campus counselors and a web database on medical conditions to referrals to community resources for suicide prevention, substance abuse and living assistance.
