Program Requirements

HON 101: Honors Colloquium is required to enter the Honors Program. This course brings new honors students together, enhancing research, reflection, writing and discussion skills. The Colloquium is offered during the Fall and Spring semesters.

There is a variety of Pima honors courses from which to choose. And you can receive honors credit for non-honors courses by signing an Honors Contract and completing extra work.

You may take honors courses or honors contract courses without officially being admitted to the Honors Program, as long as you have a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Honors Certificate of Completion

To receive an Honors Program Certificate of Completion, you must

  • complete at least 15 credit hours of Pima honors courses including HON 101
  • graduate from Pima with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
