Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) - Certificate
Graduation Checksheet (MS Word) Complete lower-division general education requirements that are mandatory for transfer to UA, NAU, ASU or the University of Phoenix. Complete this program exclusively on weekdays, exclusively on evenings/weekends, or in a combination of daytime, evening and weekend classes. The AGEC-A (Arts), AGEC-B (Business) , and AGEC-S (Sciences) have the same categories and total number of credits. They differ in the number of credits required for each category, and some of the specific courses required. It is strongly recommended that students complete the Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Business Administration, or Associate of Science degrees before transferring. When working toward each certificate, the same course may not be used to complete more than one category. * Students who complete an AGEC-A and then change their major and wish to apply the AGEC-A toward a degree program requiring the AGEC-B or AGEC-S, must complete the mathematics or science courses defined within that new degree program. However, the other general education requirements are fulfilled by the AGEC-A.
