Languages

In addition to Spanish, Pima offers courses in a variety of languages:  European, Asian, Middle Eastern and Native American languages.  These may include French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Tohono O’odham, and Yaqui.

Language courses are offered as part of the requirements of the Associate of Arts degree, or may be taken as required or elective courses to complete other degrees.  Students interested in pursuing a degree at ASU, NAU or UA should meet with faculty teaching the language or an advisor to plan their course of study using the appropriate transfer guide.

What can I do with my studies in a language?
Academic options:  continue studies towards a bachelor of arts degree in a language, in education, or in other humanities disciplines.

Career options:  use your knowledge of another language to enhance your ability to find job opportunities or job advancement
