The Pima Community College basketball teams continue regular season competition as the Aztecs split time on the road and at the West Campus’ Aztec Gym on Wednesday and Saturday. The baseball team plays out of town this week while the softball team hosts its home opener. The track teams will be at the West Campus. The women’s tennis team will host a Doubles Classic at the Tucson Racquet Club.
The softball team will host its first home opener of the season when it plays Scottsdale Community College at the West Campus on Tuesday. The first game of the double header will start at 1 p.m. The baseball team will open its season on Tuesday as well when it plays at Paradise Valley Community College. The first game of the double header will start at 1 p.m.
The men’s and women’s basketball teams will play at Central Arizona College on Wednesday. The women’s game will start at 5:30 p.m. and the men will follow at 7:30 p.m.
The baseball team will travel to Las Vegas, NV to play in the College of Southern Nevada Tournament. The two day tournament will begin on Thursday when the Aztecs play two games. They will play the College of Southern Idaho at 2:30 p.m. and then the College of Southern Nevada at 6 p.m.
The baseball team will be back on the field on Friday when they play the College of Southern Idaho at 11 a.m. and the College of Southern Nevada at 2:30 p.m.
The West Campus will be busy on Saturday as four different sporting events take place on campus. The Track & Field teams will be competing in the Aztec Indoor Invitational which starts at 11 a.m. The softball team will host Yavapai College with the first game of the double header starting at noon. The women’s basketball team will take the court to host Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 2 p.m. and the men’s game will follow at 4 p.m.
The women’s tennis team will host the Doubles Classic at the Tucson Racquet Club. Competition begins at 11 a.m.
