First day of classes at PCC 29th Street Coalition Center
September 28, 2012
October 1 marks the first day of classes at the Pima Community College 29th Street Coalition Center.
The center, at 4355 E. Calle Aurora (south of 29th Street between Columbus and Swan), will be home to one of PCC’s three Adult Education Centers as well as its Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute. The 43,000-square foot facility is housed at the former Roberts Elementary School. [view map]
In 2011, PCC and the Tucson Unified School District reached an agreement on PCC’s lease of Roberts. PCC broke ground on the new center in February.
The Eckstrom-Columbus Branch of the Pima County Public Library is temporarily housed at the center while the branch undergoes renovations.
