PCC Fall Sports Oct. 1 – Oct. 7

Pima continues its regular season competition as the soccer teams play away and at home this week. The volleyball team plays one match this week and the cross country teams will be in Goodyear, AZ. The football team will also play its second away game in a row. At the end of the week, there will be scrimmages in baseball, softball and women’s basketball.

The soccer teams will compete at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix on Tuesday. The men will play its game at 1 p.m. followed by the women’s game at 3:30 p.m.

The volleyball team will be at the West Campus’ Aztecs Gym on Friday when it host Phoenix College at 7 p.m. The baseball team will scrimmage at South Mountain Community College at 11 a.m.

The cross country teams will compete in the Grand Canyon Invitational on Saturday at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, AZ. The women’s race will be at 8 a.m. followed by the men at 8:45 a.m. The soccer teams will be back at the West Campus’ Aztecs Field to host GateWay Community College. The men’s game will be at noon and the women’s game will follow at 2:30 p.m. The football team will travel to Ephraim, UT to play Snow College at 1:30 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the baseball team will hold a scrimmage at noon against Arizona Western College at the West Campus. The women’s basketball team will host a scrimmage at the West Campus’ Aztecs Gym on Saturday against the Davis Monthan Air Force Base (AFB) team at 5:30 p.m.

The softball team will travel to El Paso, TX to play scrimmages against the University of Texas-El Paso. They will play them on Saturday and Sunday with games starting at 10 a.m. on both days.
