April 19, 2012
Interested in becoming a student at Pima Community College? Want to know what we have to offer?
The public is invited to an open house at the Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road, on April 27 from 4-7 p.m. The NorthwestFest will include an open house, a concert (from 5-10 p.m.) and food vendors, as well as previously scheduled orientations for high school students planning on attending Pima.
Several of Pima’s more than 100 occupational and transfer academic programs – including Clinical Research Coordinator, Hotel and Restaurant Management and Therapeutic Massage – will be showcased with classroom demonstrations and faculty info sessions. Brochures on more of the College’s programs will be available in the Student Services Center.
“This is a great opportunity for prospective students to visit our beautiful Northwest Campus and learn more about what Pima has to offer,” said Michael Tulino, vice president for student development at the Northwest Campus. “There will be booths where you can obtain information on admissions, advising, financial aid and much more.”
The booths will be located in the open areas of the first two levels of the campus.
A concert organized by Pima students will take place from 5-10 p.m. Scheduled to perform are Ka-Ta, One Way, RadioDriveBy, and the Rowdy Johnson Band.
