Center for Training and Development honors latest Practical Nursing graduates, April 12

PCC’s Center for Training and Development will honor its latest class of students to earn certificates in the high-demand profession of Practical Nursing.

A small group, seven students, will receive their certificates at the Practical Nurse Pinning Ceremony on Thursday afternoon at Desert Vista Campus, where CTD is based. As part of the ceremony, there will be a candle-lighting and recitation of the Nightingale Pledge. For a list of student names, instructors and administrators, view the Pinning Ceremony Program.

The graduates are eligible to take state and national licensing exams. The program is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

In 2010, the median annual pay nationally for LPNs was $40,380, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics (BOLS).
