Ceremony to Honor Fallen Military Men and Women, March 30

March 27, 2012

The remembrance service will begin at 7 a.m. in the courtyard of Downtown Campus, 1255 N. Stone Ave. The name of each of our fallen heroes will be read, followed by the ringing of a bell. This ceremony is being held in conjunction with a March 31 citywide parade to salute the veterans and active-duty personnel in the U.S. armed services who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom – Afghanistan.

Pima is seeking members of the community, as well as College employees, to volunteer to read names and ring the bell after the names. Shifts are 15 minutes. The College has openings from 9:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and 2-8 p.m. for bell ringers. We need name readers from 2-8 p.m. and volunteers to host the sign-in desk from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

To volunteer, contact Jerry Haynes by phone, 206-7263, or email, jehaynes@pima.edu.
