PCC East Campus Free Health and Wellness Conference Nov. 12

 Conference on Complementary Healthcare: Energy, Wellness & Education has featured speaker, vendors and presenters

Tucson, AZ – A free day-long event at Pima Community College’s East Campus on Nov. 12 will introduce attendees to alternative approaches to conventional health and wellness approaches.

The PCC Conference on Complementary Healthcare: Energy, Wellness & Education (An introduction to practices for a fuller, healthier life) features interactive presentations and demonstrations by practitioners of such fitness and healing techniques as Reiki, yoga, meditation and Feldenkrais. The conference concludes with featured speaker Anya Petrovic’s presentation, “Discover the Power of Tesla Metamorphosis®.”

A Community Vendor Fair runs 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Representatives of various PCC programs, including Therapeutic Massage, Health-related Professions and the Center for Training and Development, as well as other vendors will be set up, on the Student Mall in the Student Center.

Experts and practitioners in various fields will give presentations and demonstrations throughout the day, starting at noon, 2 and 3:45 p.m. Multiple presentations will be given at each time in and around the Student Center, including in the Community Room.

Concluding the day is Anya Petrovic, speaking at 5:30 p.m., on “Discover the Power of Tesla Metamorphosis®.” She will explain and demonstrate Tesla Waves as a unique form of healing.

“Tesla Metamorphosis® is not just energy healing,” Petrovic says on her website. “It connects with higher intelligence vibrations of information and light that affect our DNA and elevates the frequency of human consciousness.”

Petrovic has more than two decades of experience in healing work and is a Reiki Master Teacher, but also has worked as a teacher, counselor and a social worker. She speaks internationally and has two published books of poetry and has won three October Prizes for poetry and scientific work in literature.

  • “Memory – How it Works and Why It Often Doesn’t:” Gail Gonzales, Ph.D.
  • “Reflexology – Touch Therapy:” Jamie Hogue, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
  • “Yoga for Stress Relief:” Josie Milliken, Ph.D.
  • “Discover Flexibility, Alignment and Ease in All Movement:” Tammy Rosen-Wilbur, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner
  • “Movement Is Life – Sensation:” Holly Sack, Black Belt Nia instructor
  • “Playing the Lead in Your Life – Setting the Stage for Your Own Virtuoso:” LeighAnn Rangel Sotomayor, M.F.A., Certified Professional Coach
  • “An Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation:” Amy Vaughn, M.A.
  • “Elements of Being – Asian Bodywork Therapy:” Selena S. Zimmerman, M.A., LMT
