PCC’s Fire Science Academy Graduation, Dec. 19

Tucson, AZ – Pima Community College’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute will hold a graduation ceremony on Wednesday for 38 students who have completed the Fire Science Academy.
PCC offers a Certificate for Direct Employment and an Associate of Applied Science Degree for Direct Employment in Fire Science.
These programs provide students with hands-on real-world fire service training that meets the Arizona requirements for Emergency Medical Technician/Basic (EMT-B) and Firefighter I and Firefighter II certifications.
Graduates of the Fire Science Academy are prepared to take the state licensing exam for certification as an Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence (AzCFSE)-Firefighter I and II.
