R.H. Perry & Associates Will Assist in Finding Candidates to Be Next Chancellor
Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College Governing Board voted unanimously Thursday to hire R.H. Perry & Associates to assist in the search for a new chancellor.
R.H. Perry & Associates was one of three executive search firm finalists that made presentations to the Board at its Regular Meeting on June 20. The others were the Association of Community College Trustees and Gold Hill Associates.
R.H. Perry & Associates, which is based in Washington, D.C., has completed more than 500 executive academic searches since it was established in 1974. Its community college clients include Cochise College in Sierra Vista, Maricopa Community College in Phoenix and Northland Pioneer College in Holbrook.
Other R.H. Perry clients include Georgetown University, Howard University, Michigan State University, San Jose State University, University of Montana, and University of New Orleans.
The three finalists were recommended by a screening committee that included College and external members. The screening committee reviewed responses to a Request for Proposal that the College posted on April 26 to identify an executive search firm through competitive bidding. Bids were due May 30.
On June 20, the three finalists made presentations to the Governing Board. Video of the presentations and additional information about the search for a new chancellor can be found on the College’s “Chancellor Search” webpage.
Interim Chancellor Dr. Suzanne L. Miles announced in the spring that she will not seek the permanent chancellor's position.
